I’m super early for my flight to Maryland. I left home with the thought that there would be a ton of people at security and check in, I was literally the only person at both.
I have like 2 hours before takeoff because my flight is delayed.

Schedule for the Day

8am

  • Wake Up
  • Begin freak out
  • Shower

8:30am

  • Dress
  • Dry Hair
  • Straighten Hair
  • Continue freak out

9am

  • Breakfast
  • Check Tumblr
  • Obsessively check airline website to make sure seat hasn’t changed/still checked in
  • Continue to freak out

10am

  • Weigh Suitcases
  • Freak out and cry while redistributing stuff in the cases

11:30

  • Mom gets home from work
  • Freak out while Mom tries to calm me down/repack my suitcases

12Noon

  • Finish packing carry-on (including turning off laptop and packing it)
  • Continue Freakout

12:30/1pm

  • Leave for lunch/begin trip to airport
  • Freak out

4:15pm

  • Flight check in/Bag drop
  • Freak out

4:45/5pm

  • Airline security
  • Less freaking out, but still all splotchy from crying

6:15pm

  • Flight leaves for London
  • Freaking out considerably less, because now I’m in the air and there’s nothing I can do about it.

You would think that after 4 years of flying to school twice a year (not to mention home twice a year…) I would freak out less, but apparently not. Oh well, back to Scotland for my final semester of University. See you in July, Maryland!
